It seems like Red Hot Chili Peppers loves treating its fans with surprises as they recently dropped a new bonus track two months after releasing their latest album "Unlimited Love."

According to Loudwire, the legendary rock band shared a new song titled "Nerve Flip," available for streaming on different platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.

Initially, the song was only available through their Japanese deluxe edition of "Unlimited Love."

The album was the group's first time collaborating with John Frusciante since "Stadium Arcadium's" release in 2006.

Their recent record became successful as it dominated the Billboard 200 charts, making it their second number one album.

Why Are Japanese Bonus Tracks So Common?

Per the outlet, bonus tracks in Japan are common with artists because record labels in the country usually team up with a musician to include a song on their version of the record that wouldn't be available in any form.

This will lead domestic buyers to purchase music manufactured in their country instead of in the United States or other countries.

Other artists who have done this in previous releases include Beyoncé, Florence + The Machine, Daft Funk, Foo Fighters, Paul McCartney, and many more.
