Doctor Who, music like K-Pop, is a foreign affair that's not quite possible for Americans to understand the scope of. Sure, we all know a few people that are hardcore devotees (our fiancé for one) but it's tough to imagine that in their home countries, these are national icons. One example that American fanboys can only dream of coming to our shores is "The Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular," a classical music concert set for six dates during 2015 in the UK.

The Doctor isn't a new guest to concert halls, as his theme music and characters have occasionally made guest appearances at The Proms, a BBC-sponsored classical music series in London. This event will be entirely dedicated to the music of the world's most popular Sci-Fi program however. The show actually premiered in Melbourne during 2012 and is finally making its way back to the motherland. The iconic theme to the program will be featured of course, among other bits from the show's 50 year run, but more importantly characters from the program will make appearances onstage. Or at least that's what we take from the photo of The Doctor battling his nemesis, a Dalek, onstage as cellists look on, bemused.
