Ozzy Osbourne, 73 years old, has finally broken his silence following his June 13 neck and back surgery.

While his wife already made some announcement about his gradual recovery, it felt more relieving for his fans to actually hear it from himself.

"I am now home from the hospital recuperating comfortably. I am definitely feeling the love and support from all my fans and send everyone a big thank you for their thoughts, prayers and well wishes during my recovery," the rocker tweeted on June 15. This garnered a lot of likes and comments of gratitude.

During the June 10 episode of the British TV show The Talk, Ozzy's wife Sharon Osbourne, 69, revealed that Ozzy was due to have an urgent procedure. The rocker was said to undergo a major surgery on Monday, as reported by Entertainment Tonight. Sharon said that the procedure could have a massive impact on the rest of his life.

According to Page Six, the procedure was intended to "remove and straighten pins in his neck and back."

The frontman of Black Sabbath was released from the hospital on June 14, a day after undergoing surgery.

A photograph was taken of him leaving the hospital in a wheelchair pushed by a nurse. With the nurse's assistance, he was able to rise to his feet and enter a black Range Rover. Sharon then drove Ozzy, who was dressed in a black T-shirt, black leggings, and a blue face mask, to his residence.

Sharon rushed to Twitter after settling Ozzy into their home to provide followers with an update on his condition. "Our family would like to express so much gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love and support leading up to Ozzy's surgery!" she said, apparently overwhelmingly happy with the development. "Ozzy is doing well and on the road to recovery. Your love means the world to him," she added.

Ozzy's health has deteriorated over time. In May this year, he was photographed with a cane and discussed his mobility challenges in an interview.

He admitted to Classic Rock that he could no longer walk properly and needed to get physical therapy.  He even stated that he is aware he will not live forever but was hoping he could do at least one more tour.
