As I Lay Dying will be moving forward without their drummer Jordan Mancino after he decided to exit the band, as revealed in a social media post. Today, another member is speaking out after the former's claims.

According to Loudwire, the group's frontman Tim Lambesis has revealed more information about the dramatic exit, to which Mancino claimed the reason to be "internal issues."

The singer alleged that reconciling with their former member has been unsuccessful, and he refused to speak to the rest of the group except through lawyers.

Lambesis began the statement by saying they wanted to clarify Mancino's initial post and that they must share "a little more information" with their fans to avoid confusion and making wrongful assumptions.

"For about the past 2 years, Jordan has ex-communicated himself from the remaining members of AILD informing us that he wishes to only speak through lawyers moving forward," he claims.

The singer noted that they attempted to reconcile with him numerous times to find common ground on how they would move forward in a "healthy and positive" manner, but they have been unsuccessful.

"In preparation for post-pandemic band activity, the remaining members felt it unfair to have our ambitions hindered by someone who refused to contribute or communicate openly. We feel this is not an efficient way for a band (or business) to operate productively," he added.

As I Lay Dying then gave their old pal a chance to jam to old songs or get into a room for a conversation weeks before an "established deadline" before they needed to find his replacement.

However, they got no response; instead, they received legal documents from the drummer, saying he wanted to "move on" and expect payment in return.

To keep the group going, the band needed an immediate solution. They also wanted to continue playing music, and they won't be able to do so if a member "wants to limit all progress and creativity" by refusing to talk.

Despite their shocking claims, Lambesis concluded the statement by saying they are thankful for Mancino's contributions to the group and the good times they shared.

They also noted how the drummer "pushed the genre as a whole" by drumming on their earlier records.

As of this writing, Jordan Mancino has yet to respond to the post.

Unearth's former drummer, Nick Pierce, will be replacing the musician throughout their tour that will begin next month.
