Olivia Rodrigo has been making strides in her career at an early age - from scoring three GRAMMYs in her first year to being crowned as Billboard's Woman of the Year at the age of nineteen years old.

The Disney alum's success is attributed to her debut album, SOUR, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 charts on May 21, 2021.

Just this week, Rodrigo's banger album achieved another milestone, surpassing a music icon's debut project.

Olivia Rodrigo's 'SOUR' Achieved THIS Billboard 200 Milestone

On its debut weekend in May 2021, SOUR opened with 295,000 album-equivalent units, composing 72,000 album sales. The album spent five weeks on the top, making it the longest-reigning number-one album by a female artist in 2021.

The album went on to receive recognition - it was ranked #1 on Rolling Stone, Insider, and Billboard's 50 Best Albums of 2021.

As of this week, SOUR bagged another Billboard milestone. It is now considered the longest-running debut album on the Billboard 200 Top 10, beating Lady Gaga along the way.

Gaga's debut project, The Fame, spent 51 weeks on the Billboard Top 10 since its release in August 2008. Rodrigo, on the other hand, upped the Edge of Glory hitmaker with one week, spending a total of 52 non-consecutive weeks as of this writing.

Currently, the album sits at the edge of the Top 10, sliding two spots since last week's #8 - the album earned 32,000 units.

In total, the GRAMMY-winning album has now sold 3.7 million album-equivalent album units to date.

SOUR managed to maintain its position because of its four tracks that were all Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 Hits - driver's license, deja vu, traitor, and good 4 u.

Olivia Rodrigo Glastonbury 2022 Performance, 'SOUR' Tour

The achievement came days after Olivia Rodrigo debuted last Saturday at the Glastonbury Festival stage.

The 19-year-old singer has been vocal about her sentiments against the recent overturning of the US Supreme Court on the Roe v Wade abortion ruling, even dedicating Lily Allen's hit Fuck You to the high court.

Olivia Rodrigo just finished her North American SOUR Tour last May 25, 2022, and is currently continuing her trek in Europe. She will then spend two days in Ireland on Jun. 29 - 30, 2022, before spending the rest of her tour in the United Kingdom.
