Kanye West is one big clown, at least, for Nicki Minaj.

Minaj recently created a buzz after shockingly roasting West while headlining the 2022 Essence Festival of Culture in New Orleans. It marked her first live performance in three years.

She performed her early hits, including her collaboration with Drake "Make Me Proud" and "Bedrock" with Young Money."

Amid the exciting performance, the female rapper suddenly asked her DJ to stop playing "Monster" - her collaboration with Kim Kardashian's ex-husband. The song is part of West's 2010 album "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy."

"A monster though! A monster though! But we don't f--- with clowns," she told the crowd after the DJ stopped the song.

Minaj then changed her subject and said that she wanted to "give a shout-out to New Orleans" instead of performing the song.

According to Consequence of Sound, the "Super Bass" hitmaker seemingly targeted West after his appearance on Cardi B's new single, "Hot Sh-t." The song was released on the same day as her performance.

For what it's worth, Cardi B and Minaj have been feuding for years.

Nicki Minaj, Cardi B's Beef Explored

Their rivalry started in 2017 when they collaborated on Migos' song, "Motorsport." Fans immediately assumed that the two verses hinted at their feud.

The rappers, at that time, shut down the rumors, while Cardi B also addressed the rumors in an interview.

"So annoying. I feel like people wouldn't even be satisfied even if me and [Nicki] was making out... I feel like people just want that drama," the "Bodak Yellow" hitmaker told Complex.

However, things finally got sour when Cardi B uploaded videos on Instagram, in which she claimed several damaging things about Minaj. Among the topics include Cardi receiving a guest spot on Little Mix's track 'Woman Like Me" before Minaj did.

She also said that she stopped Migos' Offset and 21 Savage from doing a video for "No Flag."

Aside from Minaj's feud with Cardi B, she also has tension with West due to his God-centric album and the canceled release of their song "New Body." It is worth noting that they were scheduled to drop the song on the canceled album, "Yandhi."

However, West chose to proceed with his "Jesus is King" instead.

In addition, she revealed that West made her rewrite her verse "to fit into where [Kanye West] was creatively and spiritually."
