The Recording Academy just released some important details on the GRAMMY Awards 2023.
The important dates to remember, venue, and guidelines were all revealed in the huge announcement.
The announcement came on the heels after the 64th annual GRAMMYs were nominated for five 2022 Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Variety Special (Live).
GRAMMY Awards 2023 Date, Venue
The 2023 GRAMMY Awards of the 65th Annual GRAMMY Awards will be held on February 5, 2023, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.
This is the first time in three years that the GRAMMYs will be held in its home in Los Angeles. After a lot of issues this year on its venue, the Recording Academy decided to hold Music's Biggest Night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena - a first for the GRAMMYs.
Similarly, the 2023 GRAMMYs return to a February airdate is the Academy's first in four years. This year's venue conundrum was specifically a result of the ever-changing dates of the 2022 GRAMMYs - this is because of the sudden uptick in cases of COVID-19 virus last year, which led the Academy to reschedule from the originally planned date.
Februarys play a large role in GRAMMY's rich history as the majority of the shows were held in that month since its first live telecast in 1971.

GRAMMY Awards 2023 Nominees, Important Dates
The nominees for the GRAMMY Awards 2023 are not announced yet, but according to the latest release, the Recording Academy will be releasing the much-awaited list on November 15, 2022.
For those who are waiting for their idols' music to be nominated, their albums/songs/projects must be released between October 1, 2022, to September 30, 2022 - in line with the amended guidelines of the Academy.
On the other hand, First-round voting will take place on Oct. 13 - 23, 2022, while the final rounds will be from December 14, 2022, to January 4, 2022.
The GRAMMY Telecast will take place on Sunday, February 5, 2022, aired on CBS and simultaneously on Paramount Plus.

The announcemnet of the dates and venue came days after the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the list of 2022 nominees.
The 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards were nominated for five categories: Outstanding Variety Special (Live), Oustanding Production for a Variety Special, Oustanding Lighting Direction for a Variety Special, Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Variety Special, and Outstanding Technical Direction, Camerawork, Video Control for a special.
