Lit Tjay was shot, for a total of 7 times. For a time, people thought he was dead, surely. Yet, there are reports of him recovering miraculously. Gunna is in jail, and unable to post bail. Despite these, fans still are hoping that they would be at the Rolling Loud Miami 2022. They made 2021 so much fun, after all.
Unfortunately, both will not be able to perform, for more or less unsurprising reasons.

In an official statement, Rolling Loud showrunners tweeted that Lil Tjay is still in recovery (despite doubts of many as they do not understand the silence on the rapper's camp) and that he would have to miss this event. "Unfortunately, Lil Tjay will not be performing at Rolling Loud Miami 2022 as he continues towards making a healthy recovery. Tjay appreciates the outpouring of support and well-wishes from fans in this time, and looks forward to returning to Miami in the future."

Gunna, since he cannot post bail, will not be able to set foot outside of his prison, let alone in Miami.

While some fans are happy to note at least that someone credible established the fact that Lil Tjay is in recovery mode, many thought the update was their time to ask who is going to be Lil Tjay and Gunna's replacement/s.

The comment section of this tweet was full of similar questions asking who this performer would be and if he/she/they can be as good as those not able to make to the event. It's been days but there is no reply as to who this is. Some said that the management is deliberately ignoring this very important question. Others added that Sheck Wes, a likely replacement, would not be as good as the two and would not be able to hold a candle against either of them.
