The world of music is still mourning the death of Taylor Hawkins after he died in Colombia a few months ago, but fans can get a glimpse of his personal life as a drummer in an upcoming documentary that will feature one of his final interviews.

According to People Magazine, a documentary titled "Let There Be Drums!" will feature some of the biggest drummers in the industry like Ringo Starr and Hawkins himself.

The Justin Kreutzmann-directed film will be released on October 28 in theaters.

Aside from the names mentioned above, the movie will also feature Grateful Dead's Bill, Jane's Addiction's Stephen Perkins, The Police's Stewart Copeland, Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Guns N' Roses drummer Matt Sorum.

In a statement to Deadline, the director said the idea of producing a documentary came to him as a gift.

He recalled having a Super-8 film camera in Christmas of 1977, and he filmed some of his first videos with his father, Bill, on stage at Winterland in San Francisco.

"They were shot from my perspective, sitting right behind him on the drum riser so he could keep an eye on me during the Grateful Dead's performances. Drums, and the drummers that play them, have been a major component of my entire life," he said.

"Let There Be Drums!" will be Hawkins' first film appearance after his passing on March 25 in Bogotá, Colombia.

The legendary drummer was found dead in his hotel room hours before Foo Fighters' scheduled performance at Festival Estéro Picnic.

As of this writing, his cause of death remains a mystery, but initial toxicology reports confirmed that he had over 10 types of substances in his system including opioids, tricyclic antidepressants, THC (marijuana), and benzodiazepines.
