It's about damn time Lizzo reaches the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100!

Lizzbians are celebrating as this year's song of the summer, "About Damn Time," finally peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 charts - thanks to weeks of slowly creeping up the charts and TikTok too.

The track kicks out Harry Styles' "As It Was" off the summit, who has been at the top for ten weeks.

Initially debuting at No. 50, the funky track threads its way to the top week after week after it stayed put on the Hot 100 Top 10 weeks ago, completing its 14-week journey to the summit.

What propelled the track to the top was the recent release of its parent album, "Special," last week, which now debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 all-genre album charts, which opened to 69,000 album equivalent units.

"Special" and "About Damn Time" are both new career bests to the 34-year-old hitmaker, as the album is his highest debuting project on the Billboard 200 charts, and the track was his second board leader on the Hot 100 charts.

"About Damn Time" is not just ruling the Hot 100 charts this week, but it is also concurrently sitting on the Hot R&B Songs Charts and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Charts in the 10th and 3rd week, respectively.
