An old surveillance footage of DaBaby's infamous 2021 interrogation in Miami is recently making waves online and fans of the rapper cannot help but weigh in on the controversial matter.

Taking place eleven years ago, DaBaby was involved in a shooting fiasco last May 2021 leaving two people with gunshot wounds.

Despite being questioned harshly, the North Carolina rapper left the police station without being charged.

DaBaby 2021 Shooting Incident Surveillance Footage Released

In the new video that Real World Police posted on their official YouTube channel, DaBaby's 2021 interrogation tape was released.

The video, which lasted for an hour, shows how the Miami Police Department questioned Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, more commonly known as DaBaby after a shooting incident took place outside the restaurant Prime 112 in South Beach, Florida.

According to HipHopDX, two men attempted to steal their entourage's vehicle outside Prime 112 restaurant and shot DaBaby. The rapper, claimed "adamantly" during the interrogation, that he only retaliated in self-defense, which eventually hit the suspects.

During the one-hour interrogation, the 30-year-old rapper constantly dodged questions from police officers if he was carrying a firearm at the time of the shooting, pushing back alleged prejudices.

"It sound like y'all trying to incriminate me. 'Did you know that you committed a crime?' I did not commit no crime," DaBaby pointed out during the interview.

The interrogation also shows that the rapper refused to sign his Miranda rights document after seeing the document's language to be incriminating.

Elsewhere in the video, DaBaby has also detailed how the situation felt off upon their exit from the restaurant - after multiple white vehicles piled up.

"They pointed the gun at me, this Hispanic dude. How would I know [why they did it?] I ain't telling y'all nothing. I ain't gonna repeat myself like a suspect. I got a great lawyer...so I'm telling y'all my side of the story so I can take my ass home," the rapper exclaimed.

Over to the comment section of the Real World Police YouTube channel, fans of DaBaby and netizens alike has weighed in on the issue.

"I can't front da Yung man seems on point he is full aware of exactly what's Goin on ....I hope it works out in his favor," a fan said.

"I love his confidence, assertiveness and I don't give a $hit attitude," one fan praised DaBaby.

Eventually, DaBaby left the interrogation and was not charged with anything about the issue.
