A month after the success of "Stranger Things" season 4, Joseph Quinn finally got the chance to meet Metallica in person and they even jammed backstage.

According to Deadline, the actor, popularly known for playing his guitar rendition of the legendary band's hit song "Master of Puppets," attended this year's Lollapalooza where he met up with the group's original members.

During his fan-boy moment in the Chicago-based event, Quinn took to opportunity to express his gratitude to the band as they allowed production to use the song.

"Thank you so much for letting us use the track," he told the group. Frontman James Hetfield also thanked him for giving justice to the song.

It appears that the musician is a big fan of the show as he revealed that he's been watching it with his children since its first season.

A few moments into their interaction, Quinn was invited to play an impromptu performance where he was handed an electric guitar to play the song.

After shredding the instrument next to Hetfield, drummer Lars Ulrich cracked a joke, saying, "I'd like to make an announcement that Metallica is now a five-piece."

In the end, the band gave Quinn a heartwarming gift, a signed custom B.C. Rich guitar that looks almost the same as the instrument he played in the show.

The recent video comes a few days after Joseph Quinn became a trending topic on Twitter after Metallica played footage of him during their Lollapalooza set.

While playing "Master of Puppets" on the first night of the Chicago-based music festival, a video of the actor's character, Eddie Munson, can be seen on the big screen behind them.

Their recent interaction wasn't the first time Metallica expressed their gratitude to the show and the actor as they released a statement shortly after "Stranger Things" was released.

In early reports, the legendary metal band took to their official Instagram account to express their feelings over the Duffer Brothers using their music for the show.

They noted that the show has always been "next level" and they felt "psyched" for the series to use "Master of Puppets" in one of the most pivotal scenes.

"We were all stoked to see the final result and when we did we were totally blown away... it's so extremely well done," they wrote.
