Good news for Foreigner fans! Bassist Jeff Pilson confirmed that the band has recorded something and they will be releasing new music soon.

Speaking to 101.5 WPDH, the 63-year-old musician revealed that they worked with their vocalist Kelly Hansen while they were on a break last time.

He teased fans that "there will be something coming out."

However, Pilson noted that he couldn't reveal more details about the upcoming project, but confirmed that "there is new music on the chopping block and it is good."

Aside from the two musicians mentioned above, current members include Mick Jones, Michael Bluestein, Bruce Watson, Chris Frazier, and Luis Maldonado.

Elsewhere in the interview, Pilson praised Hansen's contribution to the group since he became a member 17 years ago.

"There is absolutely no question about it - there is no one, absolutely no one else. He has proved himself so many times," he said. (via Ultimate Classic Rock)

Speaking about his experience with the group, the bassist said Foreigner is an amazing band and it's always been his "dream gig."

He hailed his bandmates, saying everybody is "great" and they love each other. The musician also expressed his happiness, adding he loves playing amazing songs every night.

"If you're gonna be doing this at this point in one's career, it's got to feel right and it's got to be family. And it is. And that's why I'm doing it," he added.

One of the original members, Jones, has been sitting out of gigs over their past scheduled shows due to his health woes, but Pilson assured fans that he's okay and currently "in quite good health."

He added that the singer will be attending some of their future shows.

Foreigner is currently touring across North America. Their next show would be at the Orpheum Theatre in Memphis, Tennessee, on August 11.

The band will then travel across the United States to perform in cities like Cincinnati, Asheville, Noblesville, Council Bluffs, Elkhorn, Clarkston, Grand Rapids, and many more.

According to their official website, they will wrap up their tour leg at The Maxwell C. King Center in Melbourne, Florida, on November 20.
