Vince Gill misses his beloved wife Amy Grant after she got into an accident a few days ago and he made the perfect tribute during his recent show that made his audience shed a tear.

According to USA Today, the singer performed at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee, where he brought his daughter, Corrina Grant Gill, on stage to perform a duet of his 2019 hit "When My Amy Prays."

In the chorus of the song, the crowd noticed that the 21-year-old daughter changed the lyrics to "when my mama prays."

The show was a part of Gill's four-night residency as well as the famed venue's 130th anniversary.

In a previous interview, the singer explained the meaning behind the song, saying he and his wife were raised differently as she always go to church and he never went.

"Just because we got married, I wasn't compelled to say 'Hey, I'm going to go to church every weekend.' So there's the truth, there's your honesty in the song," he said ahead of his 2019 album's release.

He added that everyone attempts to chance each other sometimes then they would figure out their lives with someone and they wanted to be "more like I am and you wanted me to be more like you."

However, he clarified that it would never happen as the best way to express their love for someone is at their worst.

"If you can find a way to love somebody at their worst, you're going to win," he added.

The latest performance comes a few days after Amy Grant was involved in an accident that led to the postponement of her shows throughout August.

In early reports, the singer was cycling around a gold course with a friend before she hit a pothole. Luckily for her, she was wearing safety gear at the time.

Her representative, Velvet Kelm, said doctors advised her to spend more time recovering from the accident and she was resting comfortably at home.

Unfortunately, because of her injuries, her shows have been canceled and have been rescheduled for next year.

Before the accident, she was able to join the Kennedy Center Honor's class of 2022 along with other musicians who significantly contributed to the entertainment industry across the United States.
