Jon Pardi might have different plans for his music career this year as he's preparing to drop his album in a few days, but he already revealed a big collaboration, however, fans will have to wait for a while before hearing it.

In an interview with Billboard, the country star teased fans by saying he and Luke Bryan have something in the works.

Regarding its release date, the singer only revealed that the track "will be next year's thing."

He noted that he's been friends with the country icon for a while now and it would be "cool" to release a track with him.

The song is titled "Cowboys and Plowboys," and he revealed the significant meaning behind the track, saying it's an anthem for farmers and cowboys.

The track revolves around the concept of drinking, but he clarified that it isn't a party song, although it's "upbeat and super country."

The duo will be joined by guitarist Brent Mason and fans should expect ultimate throwback vibes as it would be a "90s country" song.

Speaking about why the song would take a long time to release, Pardi said at the time when they were talking about it, Bryan had just released "Buy Dirt" and another song for Trace Adkins' "Where My Country Girls At."

Since his collaborative partner is busy with his career, the singer said it's going to be 2023 "before it sees the light of day."

Written by Rhett Akins, the songwriter immediately contacted him, saying that it was a song intended for him and Bryan.

The country legend also reached out to him and said, "are we going to sing this song?"

Jon Pardi has released many collaboration tracks in the past like Thomas Rhett for "Beers Can't Fix," Midland for "Longneck Way to Go," and Lauren Alaina for "Getting Over Him."

Jon Pardi to Release 4th Studio Album

According to Taste of Country, the singer will release his highly-anticipated album "Mr. Saturday Night" on September 2.

Many fans have been waiting for Pardi to drop new music as his last release was 2019's "Heartache Medication" which included the songs "Tequila Little Time," "Ain't Always the Cowboy," and many more.

The upcoming record will feature 14 songs and was co-produced by Ryan Gore and Bart Butler.
