John Michael Montgomery faced a serious road crash while on his way to his North Carolina concert.

Montgomery shared the worrying news on his Facebook account, saying that he got involved in a road accident after his bus overturned before his scheduled show. The 57-year-old, however, clarified that he and everyone else on board were recovering from minor injuries.

"Despite some cuts and broken ribs, I am doing well. I will take some time over the next couple of weeks to heal and be back on the road soon," he said.

The "I Can Love You Like That" hitmaker also took his time to thank the medics and highway patrol who responded to the scene.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol's report, Montgomery's bus, a 2001 Prevost Featherlite, was traveling in Jellico on Interstate 75 when it suddenly swerved off the road before ultimately overturning.

Aside from Montgomery, two people were also injured after the bus overturned, including William Salyer and Marc Wood. Salyer was the only passenger who was not wearing a seatbelt.

This caused the singer to change and adjust his next shows and tours, including his supposed New Braunfels, Texas, show on September 17 to focus on his recovery. Currently, he plans to resume his tour on September 24 in Shipshewana, Indiana.

The crash occurred a day after they marked the fifth death anniversary of Troy Gentry, the other half of Montgomery Gentry.
