After releasing three volumes of (mostly) original material, Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward are reuniting as She & Him once again for a new album... but this time it's all about the Classics. Today (Aug. 12), the indie rock duo announced its fifth studio album, a collection of standard, well, "classics."

"We are incredibly excited to release a record of our favorite songs," Deschanel said in a statement to Consequence of Sound. "It was a dream of ours to record these songs in a way that highlighted the brilliance of the songwriting and the beauty of their melodies. We had a wonderful time making the record and we hope people have a wonderful time listening to it."

She & Him's classic reimaginings will come courtesy of Columbia Records, marking the band's first major label effort. But, in typical Ward and Deschanel style, the recording process was done in their own way.

Each of the album's 13 tracks were recorded live, with a 20-piece orchestra in tow.

Details about Classics are forthcoming, but the album has a general release date for fall 2014. A tracklist is additionally on its way, but She & Him did tease new music earlier this month, and it seems as though it's a cover of Carole King & Gerry Goffin's "Oh No Not My Baby," which will presumably appear on Classics.

Listen to the teaser below:

Classics is the fifth studio effort for Ward and Deschanel's She & Him. The band last released Volume 3 in May 2013. Though Classics is She & Him's first full covers album, covering standard tracks is not a new game for the duo. Previously, they've taken on "Swing Low Sweet Chariot," Blondie's "Sunday Girl," The Beatles' "I Thought I Saw Your Face Today" and plenty of Christmas standards on A Very She & Him Christmas.
