NOFX has been dominating the rock scene since being founded in 1983 but it appears that fans only have a short time with them as the band plans to disband in 2023. As a treat, they will be releasing an album later this year that will most likely be their final project.

According to NME, the punk rockers will drop "Double Album" on December. It will be the follow-up to their earlier release "Single Album", February last year.

"Double album out Dec 2nd links in bio for presale and Darby Crashing Your Party. It's a banger if we do say so ourselves," they wrote on Instagram.

NOFX Disbanding in 2023?

Earlier this month, frontman Fat Mike confirmed on Instagram that the group will be breaking up next year, but he never revealed a specific date or month.

It all started when a follower asked the vocalist, whose real name is Michael Burkett, why the band has not performed in Canada. The singer says, "Next year will be [NOFX's] last year. We will be announcing our final shows soon. It's been an amazing run."

Another fan asked if they were going to perform in Los Angeles before disbanding, to which the rocker confirmed that it would be their last stop because NOFX started in the city and they intend to end it there.

The band was formed in 1983. Original members who are still active are Fat Mike, Eric Melvin, Erik Sandin, and El Hefe, lead guitarist and trumpet

The first single of their upcoming album titled "Darby Crashing Your Party" is available for purchase and streaming on music platforms online.
