The 34-year-old country singer is known to not shy away from voicing her political opinions, and she is also not afraid to use her platform.

She performed "High Horse," a song off her 2018 studio album "Golden Hour," and the Golden, Texas native sang: "Cause everyone knows someone who kills the buzz / Every time they open up their mouth-Ted Cruz, I said what I said!"

"High Horse" is a song that reportedly follows someone being "classic in the wrong way," as she had put it. The song also includes lyrics that read "I bet you think you're first place / Yeah, someone should give you a ribbon / And put you in the Hall of Fame / For all the games that you think that you're winning."
