Judas Priest is recently touring across the United States and they gave fans a massive surprise by performing a song that they haven't played in decades; what track was it?

According to NME, the metal rock band kicked off their "50 Heavy Metal Years Tour" in Wallingford, Connecticut recently where they performed "Genocide" for the first time in over 40 years.

Attendees were also able to hear some of their favorite songs that they rarely perform, especially from the album "Screaming For Vengeance" which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.

The band opened the show with "The Hellion / Electric Eye" before playing songs like "Jawbreaker," "Beyond the Realms of Death," "Screaming for Vengeance," "Hell Bent for Leather," "Breaking the Law," and many more.

The final song in their setlist was "Living After Midnight."

Judas Priest Extends 50th Anniversary Tour

In June, the band confirmed that they will be extending the 50th anniversary tour after a horrific past few years.

They weren't able to perform in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but they were able to make their onstage comeback last year.

Unfortunately, they had to cancel their performances again after guitarist Richie Faulkner suffered from an aortic aneurysm while performing at their Louder Than Life Festival set in Kentucky.

Andy Sneap was later removed from the touring lineup, but he would still be a part of their concerts along with Glenn Tipton's recurring appearances.

Rob Halford issued a statement regarding the additional tour dates, writing, "After the horrific last few years of restrictions we've all had to endure, what better place to break free, than the land of the free - the USA!"

The extended tour's next show would be at Nassau Veterans in Uniondale, New York, on October 18. They will also visit iconic venues like the Andrew J Brady Music Center in Cincinnati, the Mayo Clinic Event Center in Mankato, the Raising Canes River Center in Baton Rouge, and many more.

Their last show would be at the 713 Music Hall in Houston, Texas, on November 29.

In other updates, Judas Priest will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for their contribution to the music industry.

Set to receive the Musical Excellence Award, original member K.K. Downing said he was delighted with the honor, but he hasn't decided yet whether he'll attend the ceremony or not.
