Chaka Khan is one of the most iconic singers in the industry for so many decades now and her legendary status gave her the right to give advice to young musicians, especially those who use auto-tune.

Speaking to Page Six at the Angel Ball, the diva said she hears a lot of "great stuff" by some great artists in the music industry.

She also commended the younger generation of musicians, saying "There's some very fine young artists out there doing great great work that I am impressed with."

However, the singer threw a major shade at those people who are using auto-tune, saying they should "get a job at the post office."

"People are using Auto-tune. They need to get to the Post Office quick," she said.

Khan is popularly known for her hit songs "I'm Every Woman," "Tell Me Something Good," "Through The Fire," and many more.

Despite throwing shade at artists who rely on technology for their songs, she feels for some female artists who have low self-esteem, saying she's deeply saddened whenever "these girls" feel insecure.

"They really need to know that they are the gold and that they really are precious," she added.

The reason why the singer attended the Angel Ball was because of the annual fundraising event hosted by Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research.

Founder Denise Rich established the charity organization in honor of her daughter, Gabrielle, who passed away due to leukemia.

Some of the attendees of the event, which was held at the Cipriani Wall Street, include New York mayor Eric Adams, Fat Joe, John Paulson, who was an honoree, and many more.

In total, the charity event raised a whopping $2.8 million.

Chaka Khan's Advice for Young Artists

In a previous interview with E! Online, the legendary diva shared some words of wisdom for young artists of today's generation.

Khan said the key to success is to work hard and "stand in your space." If artists are trying to share a message with the world and their fans, they should stick with it.

In addition, young musicians should not be blinded by money or any form of persuasion that would take away from their authentic selves because at the end of the day, they will be the ones who will be left by themselves and they have got to live on their own.
