Lindsay Lohan has finally returned to the entertainment industry after years of hiatus as she recently made her film comeback with the Netflix movie "Falling For Christmas." Does this mean she's going to release new music soon?

According to Billboard, many fans from the noughties era may remember the actress releasing an album in 2005 titled "A Little More Personal (Raw)" and it's been 17 years.

In 2020, Lohan teased fans about a possible new album as she made her return to the music industry by releasing an upbeat single called "Back to Me."

Today, the "Mean Girls" star sets the record straight whether a new album is on the way in an interview with Who What Wear.

"If you hear music from me, it will hopefully be in a movie musical," Lohan said, before revealing that she's got "tons of songs" that are currently on hold.

Regarding a possible release date of her record, the actress added, "Maybe five years down the line, I'll do another album."

Released under Casablanca Records, the album features 12 songs including "Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father)," "A Little More Personal," "I Want You to Want Me," a cover of "Edge of Seventeen" by Stevie Nicks," "A Beautiful Life (La Bella Vita)," and many more.

Lindsay Lohan Updates 2022

Elsewhere in the interview, the "Freaky Friday" star opened up about her hiatus in recent years as she's been living in Dubai since 2014.

Lohan has been a target of photographers in the early 2000s due to her controversies, but now that she's living abroad, she found the country to be "a sacred space" for her because paparazzi are illegal in Dubai.

"Whenever you slow down, you realize that every little thing can make you happy in a different way," she said of her hiatus.

Today, Lindsay Lohan is now happily married to financier Bader Shammas.

Speaking about her return to show business with "Falling For Christmas," the actress said she wanted to do something the public would think that she never left the industry because saying "comenback" puts a lot of pressure on her.

The actress's latest film with Chord Overstreet is now available for streaming on Netflix.
