Phoebe Bridgers enlisted the help of her rumored fiance Paul Mescal in covering The Handsome Family's "So Much Wine," and this marks their duet.

The couple wanted to celebrate Christmas and the spirit of gift-giving by performing a Christmas song duet and donating the proceeds back to the community.

According to Billboard, the covered song's proceeds will go to the Los Angeles LGBT Center. As per their website, the center provides programs and services for the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) community.

Bridgers sings some of the said song's cover's lyrics: "Listen to me butterfly, there's only so much wine you can drink in one life."

Their work is mainly divided into treating substance abuse, housing, legal assistance, and healthcare, among others.

Furthermore, the Los Angeles LGBT Center specializes in providing healthcare services to people living with HIV, reports say.

According to the Economic Times, this is not the first time Bridgers has linked up with a charity or donated proceeds from her songs to aid organizations. She is clearly keeping that tradition alive.

Christmas Tradition

Bridgers previously covered hit holiday songs, such as, Tom Waits' "Day After Tomorrow" in 2021, Marie Heggard's "If We Make it Through December" in 2020, and "7'o clock News/Silent Night" in collaboration with Fiona Apple and Matt Berninger in 2019.

Bridgers is a singer-songwriter from Pasadena, California. Her debut studio album "Stranger in the Alps" received critical acclaim, while her sophomore studio album "Punisher" thrust her into the spotlight of mainstream music.

In 2021, she was nominated for four Grammy Awards, including Best new Artist, Best Alternative Music Album for "Punisher" , and Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song for "Kyoto."

In recent news, Bridgers and Mescal were said to be engaged after an interview by the latter, however, neither has officially announced it.

The couple reportedly met through a short but hilarious interaction on Twitter which led to the pair eventually falling in love.

Although the engagement is yet to be confirmed, fans are still very excited for the pair, and could not help but gush at the story of how they met.
