Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde announced their split on Friday through their spokesperson.
A source told OK magazine more about where the two are currently and what transpired to lead to this.
According to them, the "As It Was" singer ended things with the "Don't Worry Darling" director.
"The negativity linked with Olivia, Jason [Sudeikis], and the nanny had grown more disturbing to everyone around him; it was all too much."
"But Harry could see right through it all. It's not like he let it ruin the relationship. How could it not be?"
A nanny who worked for Olivia and her long-term partner Jason Sudeikis, the "Ted Lasso" actor was taken aback when she moved on with the 28-year-old British singer-actor.
The former employee told the Daily Mail everything about Olivia and Jason, including how the latter discovered the former's affair with the Grammy-winning singer.
Meanwhile, another Life & Style report claimed that the former One Direction star realized that being with Olivia meant having to deal with all of her drama.
Olivia and Jason are at odds over custody of their two children, Otis, eight, and Daisy, six. Despite the fact that a judge found in her favor, tensions between her and Jason remain.
"It just got too much drama for Harry," a source told the magazine. "He'd had enough and ditched Olivia discreetly. Harry did it before the Venice premiere, but the writing was on the wall long before they arrived. Olivia contaminated everything."

Aside from the drama with the nanny and Jason, Olivia Wilde is rumored to be feuding with Florence Pugh after the British actress skipped the press conference for their film, "Don't Worry Darling," and there was also an issue with Shia LaBeouf, who allegedly got fired for his role in the film, but the "Even Stevens" star insisted that he left the film, not was fired.
"Harry was overwhelmed by the bad atmosphere around their picture. Everything was shattered because of Olivia's drama and lies."
Another early November allegation by New Idea said that Harry Styles' staff advised him to quit his relationship with Olivia Wilde because she was harmful for his career.
"He is under tremendous pressure to exit the situation. He's at the top of his game, but the drama with Olivia is jeopardizing everything."
These reports, however, should be regarded with a grain of salt. It's unclear what caused Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde's breakup, but according to Page Six, they split due to differing priorities and remain close friends despite terminating their relationship.
