The breakup of Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde has been confirmed.

People magazine originally reported that they were "taking a break" given the continuous controversy surrounding their film, "Don't Worry Darling."

They were first seen holding hands at a friend's wedding in January 2021, months after Olivia ended her relationship with long-term lover Jason Sudeikis in November 2020.

According to a source who talked with Hollywood Life, the "As It Was" hitmaker is still touring the world to promote his songs and will be traveling abroad shortly. In the meanwhile, the actress-turned-director is preoccupied with her children and her career in Los Angeles.

The insider went on to claim that Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde's separation was "amicable," and that the major reason they split is that they apparently have different priorities right now, which is keeping them apart.

Despite their split, another insider told Page Six that the former couple remains friends.

"There is no ill will between them. "Neither Harry nor Olivia were dumped."

Because Olivia was the British singer-longest actor's relationship, the insider believes the two formed a "unique affinity."

The insider also emphasized that the difficulties of dating long-distance contributed to their abrupt breakup after two years of relationship.

"It's impossible to have a relationship when he's in every continent next year and Olivia has her job and her kids. This is the right thing for both of them."

Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde are on the move, with the Grammy winner for "Watermelon Sugar" embarking on a South American tour and the "Booksmart" filmmaker heading to London to start on her documentary.

While Olivia was seen at Harry's concert in Los Angeles on Tuesday, they were already planning to spend time apart at that period.

When asked why Olivia brought her two children, Otis, eight, and Daisy, six, to the event, a source revealed that Olivia and Harry are still friends and that fans and media should expect to see them together.

Another Page Six insider revealed that things have become incredibly difficult for them as a relationship, especially because they have different priorities.

In an interview with Kelly Clarkson, Olivia explained why her romance with the singer was extremely private. This was before they broke up.

"We both go out of our way to protect our relationship; I think it's out of the experience, but also just out of deep love."

Their split follows shocking claims from a former nanny about why Olivia ended her relationship with Jason Sudeikis.
