As the last month of the year has finally dawned, Rolling Stone, like any other publication, has finally released their year-end rankings of the best songs and best albums of the year.

Rolling Stone, one of the most relevant entertainment magazines out there, has already released theirs, and the Top 5 albums were indeed one of the biggest albums to hit the stands this 2022.

Rolling Stone Best Albums of 2022

Harry Styles - "Harry's House"

Released last May 2022, Styles' third studio album was phenomenal. At the time of its debut, it earned the biggest opening week sale for any album in 2022. Reaping a staggering 521,500 album-equivalent units, "Harry's House" earned 330,000 pure sales, the biggest at the time too.

It gave birth to songs like "Late Night Talking," "Music for a Sushi Restaurant," and the record-breaking "As It Was."

The album is gunning for Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Engineered Album (Non-Classical) at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards.

Rosalia - "Motomami"

Hailed as the Latin Grammy Album of the Year 2022, Rosalia's highly-acclaimed album is one of the biggest Latin albums of the year.

Rolling Stone Español rated the album a full five stars, writing that the album "redefines the concept of the mainstream with its abstract sound exploration, where borders and genres are completely blurred." Although it only reached No. 33 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, it ruled the US Top Latin Albums for an unprecedented 17 weeks.

Taylor Swift - "Midnights"

Taylor Swift's most recent project will go down as the biggest album debut this year. Clinching 1.521 million album-equivalent sales in its opening week, the album was widely considered Swift's biggest album to date, surpassing the records that her previous albums have set and broken.

"Midnights," despite only staying on the charts for not more than five months, has bested 96 other albums in the list for its critically-acclaimed reviews. Critics are unanimous about their grade on "Midnights" - it was a 5/5.

Bad Bunny - "Un Verano Sin Ti"

Bad Bunny has taken over the streaming sphere this year with the debut of his album, "Un Verano Sin Ti." He was both Spotify and Apple Music's most streamed artist of the year, thanks to his album, which was also both hailed as the most streamed album of the year.

The album is nominated for Album of the Year at the 65th annual Grammy Awards, making it the first Spanish-Language album of the year to earn the nomination.

Beyonce - "Renaissance"

One of the biggest comebacks of the year is none other than the rebirth of Queen B, Beyonce, on "Renaissance." A drift from her usual R&B and pop roots, Beyonce decided to shift to Dance/Electronica with her highly-energetic album.

Like "Harry's House" and "Un Verano Sin Ti," Beyonce's "Renaissance" might be the strongest contender for the 2023 Grammy Awards next year.
