As previously reported, rapper J. Cole recently released a song dedicated to Brown.

On a track entitled "Be Free," Cole pleads for the freedom to live singing, "All we want to do is take the chains off/All we want to do is be free."

The track features chilling samples of an eyewitness account from Brown's friend. He describes being chased by an officer with his weapon drawn.

Cole later asks on the song, "Can you tell me why, every time I step outside my house I see my n***as die?"

A message appears on the cover photo for the track, "Rest in Peace to Michael Brown and to every young black man murdered in America, whether by the hands of white or black. I pray that one day the world will be filled with peace and rid of injustice. Only then will we all Be Free."

It has been reported that the Ferguson, police department identified Darren Wilson as the officer who shot Brown. A video allegedly showing Brown involved in a convenience store robbery the day he was killed has also been released to the public.
