The mother of Christine McVie correctly predicted something concerning Fleetwood Mac.

Christine and Stevie Nicks apparently became close since they were the only female members of the classic rock band for a while.

Stevie said that Christine's mother, a psychic healer, had a vision about the band's future years after the latter joined the group in an interview early this year.

While Stevie joined the band in 1974 along with guitarist Lindsey Buckingham, Christine joined the band in 1970.

The "Rhiannon" singer said in 2020 that she and Christine made a vow to one another in the beginning of their careers.

In an interview with CBS, Stevie revealed that if they ever found themselves in a room full of great guitarists who were rude, they would get up, declare, "This party's over," and leave.

However, had they ever encounter such arrogant guitarists? Stevie said that it was pleasantly surprising that they couldn't do that part.

Meanwhile, Fleetwood Mac's 1975 record and its follow-up, "Rumours," elevated them to a new level of prominence once Stevie joined the band.

Stevie Nicks later explained to The New Yorker how the band members had foreseen Fleetwood Mac's success and how Christine McVie's mother had made an accurate prediction.

"We knew, almost like we could just look into the crystal ball. Christine's mom was a medium - like, a psychic medium, right? And her mom had a lot to say about it, like, 'It's gonna be huge.'"

Christine, though, is skeptical of her mother's superhuman talents.

Although the singer-keyboardist seldom mentions her mother's talents, it's not because she finds them strange or embarrassing.

In reality, she only desired "an ordinary mom."

In a 2019 interview with Harper's Bazaar, Christine discussed her mother's talents and said she thought they were genuine and even recognized her mother was a healer.

She related a tale of how her mother's psychic powers had cured a close relative of a deadly sickness.

Christine stated that someone brought her mother a pair of the child's gloves, which she wore at night. Then a few weeks later, they got a call, and the physicians were shocked to learn that the cancer was gone.

A statement released by the family said that Christine McVie had passed away on November 30, 2022 at the age of 79 due to a "short illness."

No cause of death has been identified as of this writing. Her family is requesting privacy "at this extremely hard time," the message continued.
