Is Britney Spears dead?

From NSFW posts to her direct statements about her conservatorship, Spears constantly connects to her fans online. Still, internet users started believing that the singer might be, in reality, missing or dead. Other wild theories also suggested she was probably in danger.

The buzz started online when her fans tried monitoring her social media posts and the schedules of her family members. The wild theory also assumed someone was using her social media pages to post old pictures of her as she told them she would visit New York City. Still, no paparazzi photos ever surfaced from that trip.

However, sources clarified to a news outlet that Spears is actually alive.

It turned out that the "Toxic" crooner only told the public she was going to the City that Never Sleeps to take people's attention away from her as she and her husband, Sam Asghari, enjoyed their vacation in Mexico.

The insiders also insisted that the shower video Spears posted on her Instagram page was recorded in Mexico. Thus, it was not an old clip.

Rumors About Britney Spears' Death Explored

As the rumors spread, internet users put more fuel to the fire by sharing their thoughts about it. On Twitter, users expressed their "feelings" that the singer had already passed away.

One of the posts highlighted that the singer was pronounced dead in 2009 legal documents. The photo shows the file with the words "Britney Jean Spears, Deceased" on it.

Her parents' arrival in Los Angeles last week also caused an alarm. For what it's worth, Jamie and Lynne Spears arrived in the area last week, reportedly indicating something bad was happening. But it was later clarified that Spears' parents went to the town to watch Bryan's daughter in her school Christmas production of "The Nutcracker."

In another news, Jamie broke his silence regarding Spears' conservatorship in his first interview in a decade. He told The Mail on Sunday that he does not know if his daughter would still be alive if the legal arrangement was not made over a decade ago.

"Not everybody's going to agree with me," Jamie Spears said. "It's been one hell of a time. But I love my daughter with all my heart and soul. Where would Britney be right now without that conservatorship? And I don't know if she'd be alive. I don't."

The patriarch also defended his job, saying he protected her and the kids through the conservatorship.
