"He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him and leaves behind the gift of his remarkable music and profound humanity," one of the tweets read. "Terry often left the stage at the end of The Specials' life-affirming shows with three words..."Love Love Love."

Hall started his career in 1978. At that time, he initially worked as the frontman of The Coventry Automatics. The band eventually became known as The Specials in 1979.

A few years later, The Specials released its single, "Ghost Town." After dropping it, Hall left his bandmates and launched Fun Boy Three, a new group, alongside two The Specials members, Neville Staple and Lynval Golding.
