Cardi B is one of the most influential and successful rappers of her generation, and she is well aware of this fact, but what she is also aware of is taking good care of her finances.

The rapper took to Twitter to share her thoughts about the economy: "We going through a recession... Merry Christmas," she wrote with a Christmas tree emoji.

Twitter users quickly reminded Cardi of her multi-million dollars-worth assets and net worth.

"You rich," a user wrote.

"Does that mean you're spreading your wealth to those who need help?" Another user replied.

Others brought up politics and said that the rapper campaigned for President Joe Biden, instead of former President Donald Trump.

In another instance, a fan quoted the rapper's tweet and wrote: "says the rapper worth 40 million."

Maybe it was the straw that broke the camel's back because Cardi went back on Twitter to put the fan back in their place.

"I'm worth more [than] that and guess what?" she began. "If I don't save, work and budget I could lose it too!"

"What makes you think that no matter how much money you got you can't lose it all if you don't manage your money correctly? I too have bills, responsibilities, and people I have to help."

The Clap Back of the Clap Back

After Cardi's response, other fans poured in to show their support and noted that the assets have liabilities, and the mini-lectures about managing finances began.

"Exactly cardi. Like I could be worth 2m bringing in 500k a year but if my expenses are 450K what am I? Broke. Like people don't get it, especially being the "breadwinner" in the family we take care of others, send money, help out etc, shit can go quick," a fan wrote.

However, despite Cardi explaining that her net worth isn't necessarily what reports claim it to be, and how she still has to work just like everybody else, others reminded her that the recession won't be too much of a dent on her lifestyle.

"So maybe realize having more than 40 million dollars definitely makes your life easier and let's not pretend it doesn't. Especially in a recession. Trust me you're gonna be fine. The people who aren't gonna be fine are the low-income families the rich (you) abandon," a Twitter user wrote.

"The 1% lecturing the rest of us.....so inspiring. Hopefully, you survive inflation," another added.

While the rapper did not explicitly disclose how much is her net worth, reports noted that she is currently worth $80 million.

This should come as no surprise as Cardi reportedly earned a million for a 35-minute performance, and this comes weeks after she also addressed several claims about her net worth.
