Journey's Jonathan Cain has finally responded to the ruckus that he and the entire band is currently embroiled in.

The move came after Neal Schon's letter to Cain that forbids him from associating himself with Journey while performing for political events.

Earlier this month, Journey founding keyboardist Jonathan Cain performed at Donald Trump's America First Experience Gala at Mar-a-Lago in Florida.

In a viral video, Cain is seen helming the keyboard in a sing-along with various Republican representatives - Kimberly Guilfoyle, Kari Lake, and Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Schon apparently wrote to Cain about this matter, saying that the latter was causing irreparable harm to the brand's band.

"Although Mr. Cain is free to express his personal beliefs and associations, when he does that on behalf of Journey or as a representative of the band, such conduct is extremely deleterious to the Journey brand as it polarizes the band's fans and outreach," the letter reads.

Schon further pointed out that the band is "not, and should not be, political," noting that involving such in politics could heighten the risk of reduced earnings on their upcoming tour. Per Variety, Schon issued a cease-and-desist order for Cain to stop performing in the capacity of the band.

Now, in a very recent statement, Cain has finally hit back at Schon's letter.

In a statement to Fox News, Cain alleged that it was Schon's problematic behavior that should be blamed for the band's image.

"I have watched him damage our brand for years and am a victim of both his--and his wife's--bizarre behavior. Neal sued Live Nation twice, losing both times, and damaging our ability to ever work with them again; Neal outrageously tried to take away trademarks from Steve Perry," he said in the scathing letter.

According to The New York Times, Cain was actually in the inner circle of former President Donald Trump. Cain's wife, Paula White, was actually the spiritual advisor of Trump and even read the invocation at his 2017 inauguration.

"Neal argues online with fans who don't see eye to eye with him; and Neal and his wife recklessly spend Journey's money until there is none left for operating costs," he wrote. "If anyone is destroying the Journey brand, it is Neal - and Neal alone."

As of this writing, it is not known yet if the upcoming Journey "Freedom" Tour 2023 will continue.
