Finneas defended his sister, Billie Eilish, and her relationship with Jesse Rutherford.

The buzz started when fans slammed the 31-year-old "The Neighbourhood" frontman and 20-year-old Eilish after confirming their relationship at the LACMA Art + Film Gala 2022. The surprising move came after the couple went Instagram official before the event. At that time, they sparked issues again as the two wore costumes that poked fun at their age gap - with Eilish dressing up as a baby and Rutherford as an old man.

The public assumed that they had known each other since 2017. At that time, Eilish was only 15, while Rutherford was 26.

As fans continue to disapprove of their relationship, Eilish's brother called out a social media user on Monday who condemned the duo's relationship. The user shared one of his TikTok videos and wrote that Eilish is dating a 31-year-old man and that his music is "s---ty."

"I want my sister to be happy and safe and she is a 21-year-old adult perfectly entitled to make her own life decisions," Finneas responded.

It was not the first time he stood by his sister. In November, he told E! News during the GQ Men of the Year party that he is happy as long as Eilish is happy.

The "Happier Than Ever" singer sparked dating rumors with Rutherford when they were spotted having dinner in Los Angeles. They also publicly held hands at Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights the following evening.

Eilish is no longer a stranger to dating older men, though. Before Rutherford, she dated Brandon "Q" Adams and Matthew Tyler Vorce, who are five and 10 years her senior, respectively.

Billie Eilish Is Happy About Relationship

The "everything i wanted" crooner publicly speaks about her relationship with the frontman. In November, she recreated her annual Vanity Fair interview titled "Same Interview, Sixth Year" and included her dating status as one of the topics.

"I managed to get...to a point in my life...where I not only was known by a person that I thought was the hottest f---ing f---er alive, but pulled his a-s!" she said. "Are you kidding me? Can we just [get a] round of applause for me? Thank you, Jesse Rutherford, everyone."

She added that he inspires her as much as she inspires him.
