Cher has had a tragic past couple of weeks before the Holidays after her mother, actress and singer Georgia Holt, died at the age of 96. Despite struggling, the pop icon has someone to lean on during one of the difficult moments of her life.
According to insiders who spoke to People Magazine, the "Believe" singer's boyfriend, Alexander "AE" Edwards, had been beside her and she appreciates his efforts amid her loss.
"This new relationship has helped ease the pain of the loss," the source stated.
A few weeks ago, Cher made rounds online after sharing a photo of what appeared to be a diamond engagement ring that was given to her during Christmas.
Another insider revealed that the jewelry was a sweet gesture from the record producer to help the singer grapple with her pain.
"The ring was the perfect present to help her get through this bittersweet time," the source said.
The "If I Could Turn Back Time" songstress noted that she woke up with her new ring and forgot that her mom had passed away for a moment as she thought of running to her because she loves diamonds.
"Before I realized it..I Had Little Tear,But Im sure this is natural," she wrote on Twitter.

Cher Wanted to Settle Down With Alexander 'AE' Edwards?
In early reports, insiders spoke to Radar Online to reveal that the pop legend is "head over heels in love" with her boyfriend.
The musician reportedly wants to settle down soon because she knows she "doesn't have much time left" to find another man and after getting married in the past, she wanted her current relationship to last and she won't let it pass by.
There's a major problem going on as Cher's friends are said to be skeptical about her new boyfriend because of their age difference and financial status, but the source noted that the singer isn't "stupid" and would have an "iron-clad prenuptial agreement" when they decide to get married.

Romance rumors began swirling when they were spotted locking hands outside of a restaurant in Los Angeles, California. Cher seemingly confirmed their romantic relationship in a tweet, saying, "Love doesn't know math."
In other updates, Georgia Holt has died at the age of 96 and no cause of death was given. However, Deadline reported that she was taken to the hospital in early 2022 because of pneumonia.
