Don Williams, the surviving original member of The Williams Brothers, has died. He was 100.
Williams' wife confirmed his death to Fox News Digital after sharing a statement with The Hollywood Reporter. According to Jeanne, who was married to the musician for 41 years, her husband died on Dec. 30 at his Branson, Missouri, home.
She noted that Don Williams' cause of death was due to natural causes.
The Williams Brothers, which is currently composed of second-generation members Andrew and David, has not released a statement regarding the singer's death.
The eldest member, Bob, died in September 2003 at the age of 85. His two other brothers, Andy and Dick, passed away in 2012 and 2018, respectively.
Williams is survived by his wife, their twin sons, and a grandson. Details about the funeral plans are not known to the public.
Don Williams' Life, Career
Born on Oct. 9, 1922, Williams was the second oldest of the siblings. Their father, Jay Williams, managed and promoted the quartet.
They usually performed on radio stations after their first appearance at WHO. From there, they also visited WLS and WLW before moving to Los Angeles and landing on a contract with the MGM film studio.
The Williams Brothers then appeared in several hits, including "Janie," "Kansas City Kitty," "Something in the Wind," "Ladies' Man," and Bing Crosby's "Swinging on a Star."
However, they broke up in 1951, leading the brothers to pursue their individual endeavors. Still, they appeared together annually on "The Andy Williams Christmas Special" starting 1962 until the 1990s.
As for Williams, he also sang in several TV commercials and performed in another singing quartet group, The Masquers, alongside Burl Ives. He particularly worked with them in the 1951 music video, "Noah Found Grace in the Eyes of the Lord."

For years, he performed as an opening act at the Tropicana Las Vegas hotel. In 1958, he became part of the "Tropicana Holiday" musical show before becoming an agent and manager.
Following the four brothers' death, Williams' twin sons Andrew and David continued their legacy and were recorded as The Williams Brothers in the 1990s. They notably pushed their song "Can't Cry Hard Enough on Billboard Hot 100.
The duo first appeared as teen idols under the name "Andy and David Williams." Their career helped them land an appearance in "The Partridge Family."
