In a stunning move by the Rock Hall, they have merged Joy Division and New Order into one act; this is after members of the former continued under a new banner following the death of Ian Curtis in 1980.

Sheryl Crow also got a nod this year, as well as Cyndi Lauper, George Michael, and Warren Zevon.

Meanwhile, in Rock Hall fashion, they have included artists from other genres like Hip-Hop and Country - following Eminem and Dolly Parton's equally controversial nomination last year.

Missy Elliot, a Hip-hop legend, received a nomination from the Rock Hall in her first year of eligibility. The White Stripes also got their nod in their first year of eligibility.

Country Music pillar Willie Nelson has also landed a nod from the Rock Hall.

Rock Hall has nominated six repeat nominees in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2023 nominees.

Rage Against The Machine has notched a fifth nomination on the Rock Hall. Meanwhile, Soundgarden, Iron Maid, and A Tribe Called Quest are all up for the second time. The Spinners, however, are looking for their fourth time being nominated to the prestigious Hall of Fame.

Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame Kate Bush Nomination

Thanks to the resurgence of her music on "Stranger Things Season 4," Kate Bush is nominated again for the fourth time after being on the list last year.

Although eligibility for the Rock Hall for Kate Bush started in 2003, as she released her first record in 1979, she has only been nominated in 2018.

A year later, she was also nominated but failed to make it. In 2021, she also got one but again failed to move forward - and so does in 2022.

With Bush finally getting the recognition she deserved in the latter half of the year last year, it seemed like she could finally be inducted this year.
