The host and comedian Mo Gilligan welcomed ITV viewers to the star-studded 43rd BRIT Awards presentation on Saturday evening.

Throughout the evening, the host spoke with Little Mix's Leigh-Anne Pinnock about her family life, but viewers were unhappy by his questions about the pop star's children.

The celebrity event that recognizes the best in British and international music was hosted for the second consecutive year by the comedian Mo Gilligan.

In addition to a list of musicians collecting the notorious BRIT trophy, the evening featured performances by Harry Styles, Lizzo, Stormzy, Sam Smith, and Lewis Capaldi, among others.

Although Mo misspelled the Scottish singer's name when presenting him as Sam, it was his conversation with 31-year-old Leigh-Anne Pinnock that angered viewers.

Between award presentations and performances, the host had the chance to interact with some of the celebrity guests in attendance, including the Little Mix star.

The singer was present to present the British Group Award, but when Mo approached her, he inquired about her twins' whereabouts.

Leigh-Anne and her fiance Andre Gray brought two children into the world in 2021, with the host noticing their absence.

After speaking briefly on her earlier experiences at the ceremony, he said, "Who's babysitting tonight?"

"Sunday is tomorrow, are you going out? Having it large?"

Leigh-Anne responded indifferently, "Grandma is at home, yes."

Viewers were outraged by Mo's remarks, with several citing the comedian's "sexist" statement.

Using Twitter to criticize the host, angry viewers claimed that Mo asking Leigh-Anne who's caring for the children is honestly so aggravating because women are continuously asked about parenthood their entire lives.

Others noticed that while Leigh-Anne Pinnock is questioned who is watching her children, Stanley Tucci is not.

Meanwhile, Leigh-Anne Pinnock put on a really audacious performance for the event. The 31-year-old Little Mix singer looked stunning from head to toe in an orange gown with a daringly high slit. She risked a catastrophic wardrobe malfunction by wearing a dress with an open neckline that displayed her considerable assets.

It was crisscrossed at the waist to accentuate her slim shape, and she paired it with straightforward gold jewelry. Leigh-Anne added a few inches to her stature by donning a pair of orange platform high heels.
