Jojo is making her Broadway debut as Satine in "Moulin Rogue!"

The 32-year-old musician/actress enthusiastically shared the exciting news through her Twitter, "Truth. Beauty. Freedom. Love."

"So I can't believe I'm finally able to say this... I'm making my Broadway debut in 'Moulin Rouge'!

"When I first saw this musical I fell instantly head over heels in love. I watched from the edge of my seat, hanging onto every word of every song," she wrote and included a picture of the announcement.

It read: "Platinum-selling recording artist, Joanna "Jojo" Levesque is Satine. Beginning April 11."

She will be portraying Satine, the cabaret actress from the Moulin Rouge, opposite Derek Klena, who will return to play Christian, a frustrated and penniless composer who falls desperately in love with Satine.

"This show is a full-on feast for the senses and the opportunity to play Satine feels like the culmination of so many dreams," Jojo added. "I cannot believe I get to join this phenomenal cast and company."

According to Rolling Stone, Jojo and Klena will be manning the lead roles after Ashley Loren and Aaron Tveit exit.

The new cast is scheduled to have a 14-week run, which is expected to end on Jul. 6 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.

"Moulin Rouge! The Musical" is the stage version of the 2001 movie "Moulin Rouge!" directed by Baz Luhrmann.

The Broadway version is critically acclaimed-with several Tony Awards and nominations under its belt.

Who Is Jojo, the New Satine?

According to reports, Jojo, born Joanna Levesque, is a highly decorated and awarded singer; she has a reported net worth of $7 million.

She has over 17 years of experience under her belt and has been releasing chart-topping and award-winning music.

She hails from Vermont in the States, and released her debut studio album "Jojo" in 2004, followed by "The High Road" in 2006, "Mad Love" in 2016, "Good to Know" and "December Baby" in 2020.

Her acting career began in 2002, as she portrayed a young Elizabeth in "Developing Sheldon," then in 2006's "Aquamarine" and "RV."

She had a documentary titled "Jojo: The Pop Princess" in 2006. She continued to act in 2008 for the Lifetime television movie "True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet," and "G.B.F." in 2013.
