BTS J-Hope Surprise Fans with 'On the Street' Collab with J. Cole [WATCH]

BTS' J-Hope is making sure that his last hurrah before he leaves for enlistment is a big one.

Hours before the release of "One the Street," the KPOP star dropped a teaser that included one major, crucial detail: he is collaborating with hitmaker, J. Cole.

According to reports, J-Hope's new single is described to be a lo-fi hip-hop song that "everyone can listen to," and if there's anyone who knows a thing or two about Hip-hop, it would definitely be J. Cole.

The teaser lasts only 40 seconds, but it is enough to give fans a glimpse of what to expect from this highly-anticipated release.

HipHop DX notes that this collaboration between the two artists is particularly exciting, especially since J-Hope has expressed that he is a big fan of the rapper-slash producer.

They met for the first time back when the KPOP star performed at Lollapalooza last year.

J-Hope called J. Cole's song "Higher" his "favorite music ever," and it seems like the pair hit it off behind the scenes because here they are several months later.

"Legend behavior is collaborating with your idols," wrote a fan.

"Let's go! I'm so happy for him," another added.

Fans are particularly enthused with the collaboration because they know just how big of a fan their idol is of the rapper.

In fact, according to Uproxx, J-Hope rapped about J. Cole in the BTS song "Hip Hop Lover," released in 2014.

The lyrics, originally Korean, goes: "Hope hope world/ Before I made my own world, Cole world/ Ever since he shone on Friday nights."

Ironically, their stage names both start with J, although it is only by pure coincidence.

"On the Street" will be released at midnight on Mar. 3, South Korean time; it will be J-Hope's last single before he goes off to complete his mandatory military service in his home country of South Korea.

The KPOP star will be the second member of the South Korean boy group to enlist, with the first one being member Kim Seok Jin, who enlisted last year.

The news of J-Hope enlisting surprised fans, "We would like to inform our fans that j-hope has initiated the military enlistment process."

"We ask you for your continued love and support for J-Hope until he completes his military service and safely return," the statement read.
