Heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold is making a comeback-in a huge way!

To give fans a taste of what they have been working on for over four years, Avenged Sevenfold released their new single, "Nobody," with an accompanying music video directed by the award-winning director, Chris Hopewell.

According to Rolling Stone, this is their first release since 2016, but fans might have to wait a little longer for the album, "Life is But a Dream...," which is slated to drop on Jun. 2 via Warner Records.

Apparently, this new material coming from the band is actually four years in the making, and is said to be "inspired by the writing and philosophy of Albert Camus," reports say.

As per their interview with Kerrang in December 2020, founding member and vocalist, M. Shadow, talked about the album, saying that the band worked with a completely new sound.

"The record sounds nothing like The Stage," he said, referring to their 2016 album. "It's a completely new direction, and it sounds nothing like anything we've done. That's all I'll say about it: it's over the top, and it's very eclectic and wild!"
