In the past few days, in some weird way, Kanye West drew enlightenment when he watched Jonah Hill on "21 Jump Street." In a shocking yet equally confusing Instagram post, the embattled rapper seemed to retract his antisemitic views after being enlighted by Hill on the comedy film.

However, Jewish watchdog groups are unfazed by this "apology," saying that the amount of hate that West had exacerbated with his views seemed to be at a point of no return.

Kanye West, Jonah Hill '21 Jump Street' Apology

In an Instagram post that Ye shared last week, he seemed to have an epiphany while watching the buddy cop action comedy film by Hill and Channing Tatum.

"Watching Jonah Hill in 21 Jump street made me like Jewish people again," he said. "No one should take anger against one or two individuals and transform that into hatred towards millions of innocent people. No Christian can be labeled antisemite knowing Jesus is Jew."

While some others thought that the post was sarcasm, a majority believed that this was a retraction of his antisemitic views and comments he had displayed in the past months.

As of this writing, Hill, nor anyone involved in the movie has responded to West's revelation.

Meanwhile, Jewish watchdog groups were unfazed by West's antics on social media.

Jewish Orgs Slams Kanye West's '21 Jump Street' Apology

In a statement from TMZ, Jewish antisemitism watchdog groups and organizations like StopAntisemitism and the American Jewish Committee revealed that Kanye West needs more than a simple Instagram post to apologize for the hate speech that he had propagated on the media back then.

For them to believe his epiphany and sincerity, they opened their lines of communication to the rapper, saying that they would be willing to extend an olive branch to discuss steps that would prove that he is already a changed man.

"Joking about a movie with Jonah Hill is not the apology that the Jewish people deserve from Kanye, particularly when his antisemitic tirades continue to have a dangerous trickle-down effect of hatred against Jews," StopAntisemitism Executive Director Liora Rez said in a statement.

Rez led the same organization that awarded West as "Antisemite of the Year" back in December 2022. Apart from wishing "deathcon3" to Jews, West has also publicly professed his love for dictator Adolf Hitler numerous times in the past.
