Is Cher going broke?

Back in October 2022, the "Believe" singer's mansion in Malibu, California went up for sale for $85 million.

The 13,126 sq. ft. mansion boasts seven bedrooms, and nine bathrooms and sits on 1.73 acres of land, complete with a tennis court and a swimming pool.

The massive Mediterranean-style property overlooks the Pacific Ocean and is located on Pacific Coast Highway.

However, less than six months later, the original price of this massive and impressive estate dropped $10 million and is now being sold for a whopping $75 million.

'Cher-fully' Crafted

According to reports, this estate served as Cher's home for several years, and she has carefully put in all the work and planned every single detail in the mansion.

"Once her mind moved toward Italian Renaissance, she got 50 books and started studying -presenting me with ideas," Ron Wilson shared with Architectural Digest; he is the designer of the mansion and is a long-time friend of the singer.

"Both structurally and in terms of the interior, this house was Cher's concept. My job is to interpret what she's thinking."

According to reports, construction on the place took five years, and was created with some of the finest quality materials which were imported from different countries.

"Every day when I wake up and look out my bedroom window, I'm never not amazed," Cher told AD over a decade ago.

"Every room has two views of the ocean, each of which is so beautiful - the water is always glistening, the sunset always happening. My house is so special because it's my sanctuary, my fortress, really-the only place I have any privacy. There's no place else that I would rather be."

"I'm comfortable here," she continued. "This house wraps its arms around me."

Net Worth

Aside from being a successful singer, whose career has spanned decades, Cher is also an actress.

She has appeared on several blockbuster movies like the 2010 musical movie, "Burlesque" alongside Christina Aguilera and Kristen Bell; and the second "Mamma Mia!" movie, "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again" alongside Amanda Seyfried, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, and Stellan Skarsgard.

According to reports, the singer-slash-actress has a reported net worth of $360 million.

Many might be wondering why she would sell a home she's lived in for more than a decade, however, Cher has never disclosed why she chose to sell her mansion.

However, one thing is certain: she wants it sold as soon as possible.
