Riley Keough had a bittersweet mothers' day. It's her first year celebrating the holiday with her daughter, but it also happens to be the first time she's going about it without her mother, Lisa Marie Presley.

The "Daisy Jones & The Six" star shared a throwback picture of her parents, Presley and her ex-husband Danny Keough, holding her in their arms, she captioned the post: "Lucky to have had the best and most deeply loving mama I could have asked for."

This is the first time in all her life that the actress is celebrating mothers' day without her mother, and fans are equally as devastated in the comments section.

"Thinking of you and your sisters today Riley. Sending so much love to all of you," a fan wrote.

"Out first loves forever," another added.

"Sending you love Riley xx I know today is difficult for you xx."

Mother

According to People magazine, Keough celebrated her first mothers' day as a mother herself.

Following the sudden death of Presley in January, Keough revealed to everyone that she had secretly given birth to a baby girl in 2022.

Her husband, Ben Smith-Petersen, was actually the one who broke the news by reading Keough's eulogy: "I hope I can love my daughter the way you loved me, the way you loved my brother and my sisters.

"Thank you for giving me strength, my heart, my empathy, my courage, my sense of humor, my manners, my temper, my wildness, my tenacity. I'm a product of your heart, my sisters are a product of your heart, my brother is a product of your heart."

As of this writing, the couple is yet to share any details regarding their baby. They have made sure to cover her face when they attended Presley's funeral and never posted any pictures of her online.
