Ringo Starr revealed the real reason why he has not created his own memoir despite receiving offers several times.

The Beatles drummer has been getting all the attention from media and fans alongside Paul McCartney following the deaths of John Lennon and George Harrison. Although the Fab Four disbanded a long time ago, many are still curious about them; thus, publishers know how a memoir from the living members will definitely become a best-seller.

However, Starr is not buying it.

Why The Beatles Ringo Starr Does Not Want To Pen His Memoir Revealed

In a new interview with USA Today, the 82-year-old musician revealed that he has been asked to write his memoir several times but is expected to focus on his life starting when he joined The Beatles in 1962.

Per Starr, the idea bored him because "that's all they want to know.

"They offered me lots of money over the last many years, and I said, 'I'm not doing a book because it'd be three volumes before I get to that year,'" he said. "I have just never found interest in it. I don't want to do Ringo the drummer, because we're all a bit more than that."

Despite not sharing his story through a memoir, Starr gladly shared some of his early memories with The Beatles including the time they opened for Helen Shapiro. He also looked back at the band's final show in 1969 on the roof of the band's Apple Corps headquarters, expressing his love for their song, "Get Back."

Decades after The Beatles' breakup, Starr is now touring with his All Starr Band. The drummer revealed he has been fortunate to recruit the members for the tracks, saying he cannot do songs with just him and his drums.

Ringo Starr Works With Band, Paul McCartney

As of press time, Starr remains busy with his solo and group endeavors.

He had been tapped by Dolly Parton to work with his Beatles bandmate, McCartney, on her upcoming rock album. They recorded a new version of "Let It Be," which would reportedly feature The Beatles' surviving members alongside Fleetwood Mac's Mick Fleetwood and Peter Frampton.

Starr has also been preparing for his 19-date tour with his bandmates Gregg Bissonette, Steve Lukather, Edgar Winter, Warren Ham, Colin Hay, and Hamish Stuart. It started on May 19 in Phoenix, with the remaining shows happening in San Francisco and other sites in California.
