Josh Todd revealed interesting information about himself as a musician, saying he does not drink water during his performances with Buckcherry.

Musicians often rely on their bottles of water to replenish their voices during shows. But things are different for Todd as he revealed he does not drink water before going to the stage.

Josh Todd Shares Why He Doesn't Drink Water Before Shows

Speaking during an interview on the latest episode of "The Chuck Shute Podcast," the singer revealed that he used to drink water before and in between songs. However, he stopped after he realized how it could affect him during performances.

"I hydrate a lot prior to going onstage, but then once I start, I don't like it because it tightens me up. I don't know why, but I'm way more flexible and it feels better without doing it," he said. "And it took me a second to do that 'cause I used to be in this nervous habit of always taking a sip between every song."

Todd first learned about the technique when he saw a live video of Journey's Steve Perry, where he was not drinking any water. The Buckcherry singer then found more musicians and singers with great vocal techniques who also opt not to drink water.

Since then, Todd worked on following them and started seeing things become better for him.

Josh Todd, Buckcherry's New Album Arriving Soon

Fans will be able to see Todd's technique in his and his band's upcoming album, "Vol. 10."

The music project, arriving on June 2, will serve as Buckcherry's 10th studio album. The 11-song EP features 10 original songs and a cover of Bryan Adams' hit song, "Summer of 69."

Ahead of its release, the members opened up about their excitement about the new album and their upcoming tour.

According to Todd, the song selection for "Vol. 10" was not easy as they had to write and record a bunch of songs before they were able to find the 10 undeniable songs. Buckcherry worked with producer Marti Frederiksen on the album, and it recorded the songs at Sienna Studios.

Todd, Frederiksen, and Steve D. wrote the majority of the record.

Before fans can get a sneak peek of the project, Todd hyped them by revealing that he loves all the songs in the album. He added that the upcoming album is one of the two best Buckcherry albums they have written so far.
