Ivan Moody's current health status led Five Finger Death Punch to cancel more shows than initially expected.

Five Finger Death Punch resumed its tour, which supports its latest album "AfterLife," which immediately took the No. 1 spot in several charts following its release in 2022. However, the band had to make a massive decision to cancel its remaining European shows this year due to Moody's health.

Ivan Moody Suffers Complications After Surgery

On the band's official Instagram page, the Las Vegas-based metal band confirmed it would not push through its remaining European stops due to Moody's health status. The statement, released on Friday, said that its time off would allow the singer to recuperate from his hernia surgery as his doctors advised him to rest and avoid traveling until July.

Five Finger Death Punch also assured fans that it aims to return on stage and begin its North American leg on July 21 without any other issues.

"Most importantly, though, we thank the fans for your understanding and patience," the band wrote. "It is heartbreaking we were not able to play these shows, but we will most certainly return next year and we have a few other things planned too."

The same post disclosed that Nightwish singer, Floor Jansen and EPICA replaced Five Finger Death Punch in Amsterdam and Hamburg, respectively.

Meanwhile, Metallica has since announced the Gotheburg change and welcomed Epica to its lineup alongside Ice Nine Kills.

Ivan Moody's Injury Revealed

Moody first addressed his health condition in an Instagram reel, sharing the story behind his "hernia lottery" story.

The vocalist recalled recording a video during which he had to jump a little; however, he suddenly felt a pop on his back but did not think about it that much. He felt something was wrong with him when they started the rehearsal the next day, leading him to visit a doctor who later told him it was surprising to see him still walking.

After seeing his condition, he underwent a procedure to correct the hernias as his doctors also advised that things could be worse if he would delay the operation.
