Fans are looking forward to seeing their favorite artists perform live at the Primavera Sound in Madrid, but the first day got canceled for safety reasons.
Taking to their social media accounts, the famed music festival announced that the first day of their event was canceled "due to the persistent severe weather experienced in recent weeks."
Organizers noted that the bad weather also affected the preparation for the festival and weather forecasts for the day shows heavy storms in the afternoon.
The team behind the music event had already coordinated with the City Council as well as local authorities of Arganda del Rey after they were recommended to cancel the shows for June 8, 2023.
The entire music festival will not be entirely canceled for the first day as the Auditorio Primavera or the Music Station will still be "maintained."
Primavera Sound Madrid Will Resume on Day 2 and 3
Primavera Sound Madrid will open its doors for the second and third days which will be on June 9 to 10 (Friday and Saturday).
The event will still be at the same venue which is at the Ciudad del Rock in Arganda del Rey.

"We will continue to keep you informed of any new developments through the festival's official communication channels... We apologise for any inconvenience this situation may cause and thank you for your support," the organizers added.
For those who only had tickets for day one, tickets are still eligible for days two and three and fans don't have to do anything in order to enter those dates.
However, if tickets were unused, the day ticket will be refunded automatically after the event is over.
Primavera Sound Madrid Day 1 Lineup
There are a lot of promising musicians for the first day of Primavera Sound Madrid. However, due to the cancelation, they weren't able to perform anymore.
Some of the artists included in the lineup are Heinali, PinkPantheress, Pusha T, Yard Act, Boris, DJ Playero, Hudson Mohawke, Loyle Carter, Le Tigre, and many more. (via Consequence)
Big acts like Halsey and NxWorries (Anderson .Paak & Knxwledge) will also not perform.
As of this writing, organizers for the event have not revealed or announced if they will reschedule the artists for a different date.
