Exactly seven days after its captivating premiere on HBO, "The Idol" returned triumphantly with its second episode, which is shaping up to be as provocative as the first.

On Sunday evening, viewers were treated to Double Fantasy, from creators Sam Levinson, Reza Fahim, and music artiste and now actor, Abel Tesfaye, better known as The Weeknd.

Episode two of "The Idol" revealed Tedros (played by the "Starboy" singer) gradually integrating himself into Jocelyn's (Lily-Rose Depp).

In Double Fantasy, viewers see more of Jocelyn's overt self-destructive behavior as she struggles with her grief from losing her mother.

It is apparent that Jocelyn still has not dealt with this tragedy despite its recent occurrence. Additionally, fans are given an insight into Tedros' unconventional day-to-day life.

To manage his nightclub, seen in earlier episodes, Tedros runs a cult-like management company and utilizes a shock collar on one of his clients.

The episode's debut triggered an instantaneous response from viewers, many of whom took to social media to give their opinions.

One fan even went straight to The Weeknd's Instagram account to show some heat after the "Call Out My Name" singer took to Instagram and posted great news for fans.

The Weeknd proclaimed that "episode 2 drops in 1 hour", accompanied by new music later that night.

His Instagram post asked followers to tune into Streamonmax and HBO for what was sure to be "a thrilling event!"

Yet one fan had not taken too kindly to this announcement.

Tedros and his friends descended on Jocelyn's home in this show episode.

They split up into different parts of the house, with one sequence depicting Tedros clandestinely observing Jocelyn pleasuring herself while fully clothed.

Not surprisingly, viewers had much to say about that scene; one fan noted, "It was definitely strange!"

Another social media user asked an essential question regarding the show, "Are we gonna have to watch her (Lily-Rose Depp) pleasuring herself in all 6 episodes?"

A scene was also featured of Tedros at a club instructing Izaak to move his body with several women lying at his feet.

When creator Sam took over as director of the season that had already been 80% filmed, it was reported that he had dismissed Amy Seimetz and began to reshoot all of it.
