Jelly Roll is thriving in the music industry thanks to his undeniable talent which mixes the country genre with the hard rock sound. According to Loudwire, the singer spoke with Jason Bailey on "The Audacy Check In" where he revealed that Corey Taylor, the frontman of Slipknot, is his dream collaborator, and he shared a valid explanation why he picked the rocker.

"I would really, really, really like to work with Corey Taylor. That's like my dream collab in the rock space right now is I really want to work with Corey," the "Save Me" hitmaker said.

He gushed about the heavy metal vocalist, who is also a member of Stone Sour since 2002, saying he inspired him "in so many ways" when it comes to creating music.

Further explaining why he wanted to release a song with the rocker is because he has a unique approach to music as well as having the "ability to constantly reinvent and recreate."

Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, noted that he is the epitome of a person that reinvented himself and he thinks that he could lean into "something really different."

The musician added that Corey Taylor is "king" to him when it comes to taking an emotional song that revolves around a serious topic with a ballad sound and turns them into "bangers."

"Those songs that you feel in your soul, but they're moving. That's what I want," he added.

When it comes to his favorite between Slipknot and Stone Sour, Jelly Roll admitted that he loves the latter more.

In other updates regarding Corey Taylor, it appears that the musician would be retiring in the next decade as he revealed his personal sentiments about taking a break in an interview with Rock Antenne.

He told the outlet that he has an estimated five years of touring with Slipknot left because the band's tours are physically demanding.

Elsewhere in the conversation, the rock musician also noted that if ever the time comes and he wanted to retire but his Slipknot bandmates wanted to continue, he would help them find someone who would take his position.
