What Happened to Rapper MF Doom?

Rapper MF Doom was hospitalized in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, preventing his wife from staying with him due to the hospital protocols.

LeedsLive released the details revealed during an inquiry into his death, with the rapper's wife saying that the hip-hop artist suffered several health conditions, including high blood pressure and kidney disease.

During his admission, MF Doom developed a severe reaction, including swelling in his throat and mouth and difficulty breathing, after being prescribed angiotensin-converting-enzyme (ACE) inhibitors for his high blood pressure.

He was put into a respirator before he ultimately succumbed due to complications.

His wife and lawyers questioned during the inquiry why the St. James Hospital staff took two hours before giving him medication and how often they checked in on him, per the news outlet.

The official inquiry also included Jasmin revealing how MF Doom was not able to alert medical staff about his worsening condition due to the buzzer being placed too far from him. Among her other revelations included the rapper being held in a room that looked like "it was from a very long time ago" and his condition suddenly deteriorated when he was supposedly getting better.
